How much more sense than that is up to you, but I don't think this flanker really stands up to the original nor really does anything offensive either, so it's kind of just "there" to snag in enough sales to justify the R&D before another trend arrives to smash it into discontinuation in my opinion. Emporio Armani Stronger With You Intensely (2019) could have ended up like any number of those, and been yet another insufferable foghorn like Jimmy Choo Urban Hero (2019), Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb Nightvision (2019), Yves Saint Laurent Y Live (2019) or Armani's own Acqua di Giò Absolu Instinct (2019) from the Giorgio Armani line, but thankfully the bean counters at Armani had more sense than that. All told, 2019 has seen this whole craze of ambrox-overdosed masculines reach a deafening crescendo, mostly manifesting as flanker after flanker, or even flanker of a flanker, with everything from tonka to patchouli being tossed in alongside the ambroxide-fueled madness to make even thicker, denser, and more painfully-linear fragrances that just roundhouse kick you in the face with aromachemical density. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about this flanker, but par for the course it seems to be. I talked a lot about the whole evolution of the "ambroxan bomb" along thicker, more oriental-themed lines in my review for the original Emporio Armani Stronger With You (2017), how it was the "next step" up from scents like Azzaro Wanted (2016) which introduced norlimbanol in an incense context versus being used as a "wood" like in scents such as Dior Sauvage (2015), and I was quite pleased with Armani's results. Unisex but leaning towards the masculine side imo. This fragrance is simply addictive and erotic while being polite, "quiet" and comforting at same time, sex inside a mountain cottage or a cultured/intimate chat drinking rhum in front of a cozy fire. Cinnamon is heady and waiving around throughout, well combined with the amberish final mélange while the suedish touch is soft and well calibrated with all the spicy oriental elements. I'd have preferred some not listed patchouli in the mix somewhere. Violet, leather and sharp woods provide for a while that infamous cedary gassy feel which I definitely don't crave for. Amber is not resinous but anyway rich and rounded. This fragrance opens freshly intoxicating with a dramatically sheer accord of notable dry/piquant spices (lot of black pepper), lavender, juniper, violet and woods while ending town quickly (across a pale middle floral transition) as oriented towards a spicy gourmand suedish-vanillic dry down. Caramel is there, with its coffee-cocoa-vanilla-like nuances and its irresistible edible power but Stronger with you Intensely is not just a piece of yummy creaminess, being moreover a structured affair (green, peppery, aromatic, floral and woody) with its woody-leathery-herbal structure. The vibrant sensuality of a voluptuous bunch of spices combined with fresh inebriating fougère patterns and a final amberish toffee-like (and vaguely nutty) dry down. Super spicy italian oriental semi-gourmand and a plain wow factor. Stronger with you Intensely, a sort of affordable piece of cozy spiciness a la Idole de Lubin but with no boozy traits, a more properly gourmand-oriental aura and a less resinous deep substance. Addictive spicy toffeesh "cozy ambience like" oriental-gourmandish with an irresistible enveloping aura and a Christmas-like "engarlanded" mood.
